Make a
list of improvements and dates since your home was
built
Make
sure you know the make of your furnace, hot water heater
and amperage of electricity
Make
sure the landscaping to the entrances and exits of your
home are neat
Put
your animals in a pen before the scheduled time for your
appraisal so they are confined during the
inspections
Make
sure the front and backyard is cleaned up, grass is mowed
or snow and ice are cleaned off of the
sidewalk
Make
sure interior and exterior trim is painted or
varnished
Make
sure your light bulbs are in working order - preferably
have the lights on during the inspection
Give
your home a thorough cleaning, including
carpets
In
general the overall neatness adds the most value to a
house
